How do diode lasers work?
Diode Lasers produce a highly concentrated beam of light with a specific wavelength (808 nm) that is capable of going through the skin in a fraction of a second. The energy of the light is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) around the roots of hair.
Consequently, the cells in the hair follicles are “heated” and selectively destroyed. In order to prevent harm to the skin, the tips of Epil Experience diode lasers are cooled with a highly sophisticated hydraulic system, guaranteeing greater efficacy with no risks for the clients, who enjoy maximum comfort even in the most delicate areas.
Unlike intense pulsed light (IPL), the features of diode lasers mean that they can be used on all phototypes all year round.
